EMAIL FUNDRAISING ASSOCIATE
Position: Remote, Texas preferred
Experience Level: Entry-Level
Reports To: Executive Director
Compensation: $5,000/month on contract
Healthcare: $500 healthcare stipend/month
Contract Term: Through November 31, 2026 with an option to extend
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a full-time Email Fundraising Associate to help support digital fundraising for The Agave Democratic Infrastructure Fund.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is excited about politics, writing, digital strategy, and learning how fundraising programs actually work behind the scenes. No prior campaign or email fundraising experience is required. We're looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow alongside a high-performing team.
The person in this role will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced digital fundraisers and strategists while learning the fundamentals of email production, copywriting, testing, analytics, and donor engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft first versions of fundraising emails with supervision and feedback

Draft content for donation forms and landing pages

Produce, QA, schedule, and launch fundraising emails

Learn the fundamentals of persuasive fundraising copy and theories of change in email writing

Assist with email reporting and performance tracking

Keep internal email reports, calendars, and tracking systems up to date

Read and interpret fundraising and email performance metrics

Manage email testing and optimization

Manage CRM and email platform functionality

Use basic HTML, CSS, and SQL skills as needed for digital fundraising work

Attend brainstorms, planning meetings, and team discussions

Contribute ideas for fundraising calendars and campaign strategy

Support other digital fundraising projects and team needs as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

0–1 years of relevant experience in fundraising, politics, communications, writing, or digital work

Strong writing instincts and creative thinking skills

Writing that is generally clean, polished, and error-free

Excitement about learning how digital fundraising works

Interest in data, testing, analytics, and performance measurement

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

A desire to support progressive political campaigns, nonprofits, and causes

Ability to take feedback well and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
